Today's trap: the 세 in 쉬세요 uses ㅔ, a flat "eh," like the e in "bed." Say it with a relaxed mouth, no smile. Don't stretch it into "ay." Ten-second fix: say "bed," hold the middle, that's your 세.

🔍️ WORD SPOTLIGHT

오늘 (oneul), today. A plain, everyday noun, but here it's the ground the whole line stands on. Faded today so you have to reach for it.

하셨 (hasyeot), this is 하다 (to do) with two things added: 시, the honorific that lifts the other person, and 었, the past marker. So 하셨 = "did," but the respectful, looking-up kind of "did."

When you can't see it, you have to remember that the respect lives right there in the middle of the word.

No new particle today. The middle of the verb is the star.
