정, the word of the week. Untranslatable on purpose. Warmth that grows between people and shows up as care.

차려 주다, "to set out a meal for someone." 차리다 = to prepare / set; 주다 = to give. Together: to lay food out for another person. The physical shape of 정.

The particle, one last time: 도, "even." The smallest word in the passage, and the one that lands hardest. 처음 보는 사람한테도, even to a stranger. Remove 도 and it is just kindness to friends. Add 도 and it is 정.
